Alexandra Battery Park

Alexandra Battery Park was first constructed to defend Hobart in February 1885, and has since been developed as a public park.

Alexandra Battery has expansive views of the River Derwent and is a popular gathering point for fans to watch the final stages of the annual Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, held over the New Year period.

The park can be accessed from Sandy Bay Road.
